Why an artist makes art can be a very flattering question, because it depends on the given day what you might define art as. It can be because one feels that artists are current day historians that reflect the society and environment they inhabit, that art is communication, it is the healer of cognitive and metabolic impairments, it gives you access to world at large, a provocation, or perhaps it can be a therapy, a coping mechanism,  a way to feel part of something whether it be in the personal or in the godly sense. I make art because if I didn't then I would listen to the voice of skepticism, and then I wouldn't. So it's basically to drown out an over analytically driven mind and to give into a very forceful inner compulsion. Often I simply don't know. Which leads me back to the studio to investigate. And the cycle begins yet again!
